2. The vision of Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the Chairman of TAGORG, was to establish, run and maintain the first Arab Comprehensive Private Cloud Computing project. After launching the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University TAGIUNI, it was necessary to involve the new University in the project, which will make it one of the worldwide leader universities that offer a Cloud Computing Service for its students and partnered universities. 2 In 2012, TAGORG began TAG-Cloud projects, which was divided into four main projects. © 2014 Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org).All Rights Reserved

3. 3 TAG-Cloud has furious functions but the following are the most important projects run by TAG-Cloud: TAG Cloud … Project 1: To be virtualized. Project 2: To have TAG Private Cloud Project 3: To have a Disaster Recovery Site. Project 4: To run Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VDI. Project 5: To join TAGIUNI to the Cloud Computing. The Cloud of TAGORG will serve all TAG-Org’s offices worldwide, from two advanced virtualized Data Centers located in Amman and Cairo. TAG Cloud might be considered as a Public Cloud Provider, but for security reasons this phase will be deferred for the future.

TAGORG Virtualization was the solution to replace 72 physical servers with 8 new physical servers, by converting all physical servers (72 physical servers) to Virtual Machines on these 8 servers.

The TAG Cloud Virtualized by using the VMWare Hypervisor, through a partnership agreement with them, to provide consulting for Virtualization and Cloud Computing in the Arab World. This phase was finalized successfully on March 2013.

7. 7 To have TAG Private Cloud By using any of the Cloud Computing service models means that you are using the cloud computing. TAG-Cloud started with the third service model: SaaS using Horizon Workspace “ VMWare SaaS product”. This Solution allows to provide the users in TAG-Org with access to software applications and the administrators manage the infrastructure and platforms that run these applications. 8. 8 To have a Disaster Recovery Site DR. It is a secondary Data Center that contains the same services and resources of the main Data Center, which all users and organization requests transferred to it, in the case of failover at the main Data Center. Advantages of DR Site: 1.Consistency and load balancing for Cloud users. 2.Short recovery time. 3.Business Continuity.

Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) is the same operation of Virtualization but not on Servers, it is virtualization the end users’ desktops.. All VDI machines are centralized. The end user accesses his machine through web or unique clients, from anywhere, and through any computing machine. VDI Solution will be made by using Microsoft 2012 Hypervisor.
