Concept bubbles are usually nouns and connections are usually verbs, adverbs, conjunctions etc. concept connections

3 Concept Maps: dogs, good example dogs fetchchase sticksballscatssquirrels chew socksbones hide Concept maps should organize concepts in a visual framework. They are not just speech bubbles connected to a concept. Each bubble should contain a single piece of information, or a collection of ideas.

4 Concept Maps: dogs, bad example dogs Fetch balls and sticks. Chase squirrels and cats and cars. like to Chew socks and bones and sticks. They will also hide bones. This is weak. It does take advantage of the visual framework and may as well be communicated in three bullet points.
