3 05/03/2008 Update on Current Developments3 Public Records Act Standards Update Consultation on two draft standards Nov-Jan Recordkeeping Metadata Standard Standard on Creation and Maintenance of Full and Accurate Records (Create and Maintain) Thanks for your feedback! – Over 100 people at focus groups – Over 80 submissions on each standard Generally positive. Issues raised: Are risks useful? When should compliance start? Should coverage be mandatory for schools? Which e-systems should be covered? Advisory groups are meeting to consider feedback On track to issue both standards in June

4 05/03/2008 Update on Current Developments4 International Standard on e-Recordkeeping Principles and Functional Requirements for Records in Electronic Office Environments - three modules: – Module 1: Overview and Statement of Principles – Module 2: Guidelines and Functional Requirements for Electronic Records Management Systems – Module 3: Guidelines and Functional Requirements for Records in Business Systems Developed by International Council on Archives (ICA) / Australasian Digital Recordkeeping Initiative (ADRI) Call for comments on exposure drafts.
