2 Who We are 39 Employees (13 Full Time, 15 (10 month), 9 Patrol 2 Part Time) 1 Supervisor 15 Safety and Security Specialists (High School Support) 9 Patrol Officers 5 Coordinators - Technical Leads supporting Radio Communications, Security Equipment, Patrol, Safety Audits, and Safety Specialists 3 Technicians supporting Security 2 Technicians supporting Communications 2 Part time Safety Inspector/Communications S 1 REMS Project Manager 1 Clerical Support 2

3 What We Do:  Incident Management Planning and training.  Coordinate school response to critical incidents at schools.  Assist in selection and coordination of activities associated with Safety and Security Officers.  After-hours Security Patrols.  Respond to alarms at LCPS sites.  Perform exterior and interior checks of school’s.  Respond to incidents at LCPS sites after hours  Install, maintain and repair the electronic locking systems (500 locks) and AIPHONE video entry systems in all schools.  Manage 10,000 member electronic card access system.  Respond to, maintain and repair the Fire and Security alarm systems in all LCPS facilities. This includes 235 Panels, 1854 Pull stations,6000 Strobes/horns, and 6045 Smoke/heat/dust detectors.  Nationally certified staff conduct annual inspections of all playgrounds and review plans for new playgrounds.  Maintain over 3600 portable two way radios used by school staff daily and in emergencies.  Maintain the radio system infrastructure including 7 tower sites  Distribute and repair cellphones, BlackBerrys, and Smart Tags used by staff.  Manage 24/7 coordinated response to schoo ls/Liaison with Law Enforcement. 3

5 WebEOC WebEOC is the County’s incident management tool that can be used (free of charge) by LCPS to document and track incidents that occur at schools or on buses. The “Dispatch” board has combined the handwritten alarm and dispatch logs into one web-based application that can be managed by dispatch. The Technician board management tool allows office staff to track daily work assignments. 5

6 Web-based Emergency Management Plan A comprehensive LCPS Web-based Emergency Response Plan developed and maintained by Safety and Security. The plan incorporates Individual school all- hazards response plans to include evacuation, shelter-in-place, lockdown and parent reunification plans. 6

7 Security Technician Activities 500 Electronic Card Access Systems for staff entry to LCPS facilities. Respond 24/7 to calls for service around security monitoring equipment, technical security equipment, locking systems and card access. 7
