6 6 SSCCER For the Secondary Student Career Cluster Enrollment Report (SSCCER) the Student Record collection data elements for all CTE students include: CTE Career Cluster codes (1-16) representing each of the clusters. The SSCCER is extracted from of the End- of-year Student Record Collection data. 6

7 7 Completer Demographic Report Student Record collection data elements for all CTE students: CTE Finisher codes (1, 3, 5) CTE Special Population codes (4, 5, 6) And for CTE Finishers: CTE Competency Attainment Flag (y/n) Student contact information (phone # and address) Career Pathway code (in Appendix K) 7

8 MSC and Student Record Collection (SRC) provides specific data in SEDF reports. End-of-Year SEDF collection is based on the data from the Spring Student Record Collection and End-of-Year MSC. As with the Fall collection, the End of Year collection includes data for all classes taught throughout the 2014-15 school year. Important facts about the SEDF?

9 9 SEDF Division Report Review the Student Enrollment Demographic Form Division Verification Report after each Master Schedule Collection (MSC). Review Data Abnormalities and Teacher Threshold Report pages if any, Check “Course Minutes” column, Check “Course Descriptions” for matches based on SCED codes in the MSC. 9

10 Threshold explanations are entered in the SEDF as in prior years for: classes with over 35 enrollments; and teachers with over 54,000 minutes of CTE instruction reported. Warning: These explanations are erased on each MSC re-submission. 10 Thresholds in the SEDF

11 11 Reporting MSC “F” records accurately: – Provides the Work-based Learning Code that is used to report counts of students in Cooperative Education. – Provides Dual Enrollment flag that identifies students enrolled in “CTE Dual enrollment” courses Master Schedule Collection reporting

12 12 Reporting MSC “I” records accurately: – For the reporting of course sections concurrently taught by a teacher at the same time. – The Primary section is the section with the fewest minutes. – When all sections have the same time length then the primary section should be highest prep. 16 16 Provides information on Perkins measures for divisions having more than one high school to review school level performance. Data Analysis Report 16

17 17 Summary Good review of data in your information systems now will provide all stakeholders with accurate information for funding allocation and decision making. Also, it is easier to get it right when the data is validated early.

18 18 Workplace Readiness Skills Assessment Data Verification Supts. Memo 062-15, March 20, 2015, announced that the WRS data verification window will be open from March 20 – June 30, 2015. The verified data will be included on the Virginia School Report Card. CTECS disseminated a detail technical assistance email pertaining to the data verification process on March 25, 2015. Please refer to that email for data verification procedures.
