2 Layout by orngjce223, CC-BY Let's Go Bowling! It's a cold, rainy, winter day. You and your family are bored. You can't go outside. What can you do? Why not go bowling? Drive to the bowling alley and park the car. Inside, put on bowling shoes. These shoes have special soles and funny colors. Then choose a ball. Some balls are heavy. Other balls are light. The balls have three holes in them where you put your thumb and middle and ring fingers. Next, find an empty lane. A lane looks like a long, wooden hallway. It has a ditch, called a gutter, along each side. At the far end are ten wooden pins. You must try to knock the pins down. Pick up the ball and aim it at the pins. Roll the ball down the lane toward the pins. Hope it doesn't go in the gutter! Listen to the ball rumble as it rolls. Crash! It hits some of the pins. Down they fall. Hooray for you!

7 Layout by orngjce223, CC-BY How to Wash a Car Washing a car is fun on a hot summer day. First, you must close the car windows. You don't want to get the seats wet! Next, make sure that the hose is long enough. It has to reach the car. Then, turn on the hose and get ready to spray. Spray water on the windows. Spray water on the doors. Spray water on the bumpers and wheels. Next, use a big, soapy sponge to rub the car all over. Rub, rub, rub! Rub the doors. Rub the windows. Rub the front and back. Then, it's time to rinse. It takes some time to get all the soap off. Use the hose to wash off all the soap. Start at the roof and go down. Soapy water will run down the windows. It will run down onto the ground.
