What IS Gradventure? 8 th Grade ONLY field trip Includes admission to TWO parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure The theme parks are CLOSED to the public, so it will be ONLY 8 th graders from all over Florida. The trip is AFTER SCHOOL on Friday, May 9. We leave after school and will not get back until 2:30 am! Click here for video clip! (Teacher- scroll down on the webpage to the video player. 3. How much is it? Cost is $95.00 This includes admission to TWO parks, t-shirt, pizza, dinner ticket, and bus transportation! Universal does NOT accept annual passes for this event.

4. What are the discipline requirements? Between March 3 – May 9, students who receive out of school suspension OR two or more assignments of ISS (Rebound) are NOT eligible for the field trip.

5. How do I sign up? Turn in your permission slip and $95.00 to ONLY Mrs. Richardson in Room 402 BEFORE school on one of these days: Wednesday, March 5 Wednesday, March 12 Wednesday, March 19 NO LATE FORMS OR MONEY WILL BE ACCEPTED! $95.00 may be in cash or check. Please have your parent write your first and last name and student ID # on the memo line of the check.

6. Can my parent/guardian chaperone the trip? Yes! Adult chaperones are welcome. Adults must be a parent or guardian of a student attending the trip. (No siblings, cousins, etc., even if they are adults.) Cost of trip for adults is $95- same as for students. Adults must complete the chaperone field trip application. You can pick this form up outside of Mrs. Richardson’s classroom (402).

7. Contest! Calling all artists! We are looking for a student- created design to put on the Gradventure t-shirts. Eighth grade students will vote for the design the week before spring break! Requirements: -draw on a piece of computer paper -use a felt tip pen (ex. thin Sharpie) -theme should relate to GMS/Gradventure/8 th grade -turn in your design to Mrs. Richardson by Friday, March 14 with artist’s name on the back!

8. Your science teacher will give you more information at the end of April when we are closer to the trip. Then, we will answer questions like: When/where do I sign up for a group? How much money should I bring? Should I bring a bag? Can I leave my ipod on the bus? What should I wear?
