Zone of relevance It was a menacing, threatening night. Certainly unsafe. Hogarth walked into the frightening forest. As he walked he hesitated for a second as he noticed a tree, ripped out of the forest floor. He shone his torch on the sight. What monster could have done this? He swallowed hard and a with beating heart continued through the dark and creepy woods. He dashed behind a large rock as a flashing, beaming light lit up his path. He loaded his gun and as he peered around the rock he was surprised to see a power plant. The power of electricity lies within the deep, dark forest. Two menacing eyes appeared through two towering trees. The giant stormed forward. Hogarth ran for his life……

 Persuasive Writing  Non-fiction  Characterisation and suitability

Persuasive Writing Dear Oscar I am writing to you to try to persuade you to tell the truth about killing the shark. I think the reasons you are thinking of lying are.. Firstly, you think Lola will think you are a hero and become your girlfriend – don’t think so mate! Secondly, you would be at the top of the reef partying all night And thirdly you would be able to quit your job as a tongue scrubber and become a shark- slayer. Well I think you would be wrong to lie, because everyone knows Lola would dump you when she saw something she liked better. You’d soon get tired of partying and what would your Dad think of you if you gave up your job. Tell the truth please mate Daniel

Lola the dragon fish Lola is a dragon fish and she acts like one! She is both vicious and selfish using Oscar when she thinks he has lots of clams. She wants everything and usually gets what she wants. Lola can be a lovely character when she wants something. She looks lovely from the outside, but inside she is nasty, ambitious and arrogant Dragon fish Dragon fish live in deep oceans so that they can get a good angle to catch their prey. They eat whatever ends up in their mouths especially large prey such as other fish and large shrimps. They live where there is little light and attract their prey by using a lantern like light on the top of their heads

Don Lino Don Lino is an angry and terrifying character. He is the leader of all the Great Whites and boss of the reef. He is a very bossy and loud character- once you hear him in the movie you know without question he is the boss, if he tells you to do something you do it or you are dead meat! Great White Shark Great White Sharks eat almost anything, even humans! They live in dark places and like to pick on fish by eating them. They are feared by other sea- creatures because of their three layers of teeth, so sharks have like five hundred teeth! Great White Sharks never rest and spend about 24 hours a day hunting

Posters advertising the benefits of the Whale Wash
