What is Hampshire Active Recovery Community? Peer-led recovery community Developed in 2013/14 Members in recovery from substance misuse and alcohol problems Currently a constituted Community Group Working towards independent charitable status

Be visible role models for recovery Show that recovery is both attractive and achievable Provide a seamless transition from treatment services into recovery

5 Our Mission Statement To empower an all-inclusive Recovery Community. Offering help, support and guidance for those wishing to develop and progress in life long Recovery. Defeating addiction and contributing to our communities through individual effort and mutual support. Affecting change, breaking down prejudice and stigma, and showing that Recovery is possible by offering activities, support and a voice throughout Hampshire.

We show a commitment by all putting a face and voice on recovery in Hampshire We have the courage to do what is right We promote the sustainability of a drug and crime free lifestyle We show a willingness to be of service to others We show a positive regard for others, especially the vulnerable We try to have diversity and inclusion in all that we do We endeavour to be non-judgmental in all that we do

7 Our Organisational Structure

8 Local ARC Branches Made up of an elected steering committee and branch members Weekly Recovery Forum held with attendance expected Co-ordinate and deliver a range of community activities and initiatives for people in recovery or working towards recovery

9 ARC Management Committee
Represents Hampshire Active Recovery Community overall Umbrella body for all members and decisions that affect the whole organisation Made up of elected branch members Responsibilities include new innovations, governance, finances and grievances Monthly meeting with attendance expected

10 Hierarchy and Decision
Making All ARC members considered equal Local decisions made as a group at Branch Forums Decisions affecting ARC as a whole discussed at Management Committee

12 Criteria for ARC Membership
Not currently be misusing drugs, alcohol or prescription medication Be 18 years of age or over Support the aims, values and mission of ARC Agree to abide by ARC policies Be afiliated to an ARC Branch Agree to attend ARC Recovery Forums regularly
