What is asymmetric play? ● Starting with different capabilities, conditions, and/or situations but ultimately trying to achieve the same goal (i.e. winning). ● This can be both PvP and PvE.

How to play BattleBattle! ● Both players roll 1 die ● Adjust result on sheet as indicated ● Use token if desired (highest HP first) ● Resolve round ● Repeat until one reaches 0 HP

Exercise 1: Tweak (30 min) ● Tweak your Special Character to be balanced vs the Vanilla Character ● Battle and record wins ● You can write notes on the back of the sheet for future designers ● Grade: Power Level / Fun Factor / Simplicity & Elegance / Character Flavor

Exercise 2: Create (45 min) ● Create an entirely new BattleBattle! Character from scratch ● Balance it against your tweaked Special Character ● Battle and record wins ● Grade: Power Level / Fun Factor / Simplicity & Elegance / Character Flavor

Exercise 3: Balance (45 min) ● Half of group travels with new Character to another group ● Battle the tweaked Character vs the new Character and record wins ● Balance them against one another ● Grade: Power Level / Fun Factor / Simplicity & Elegance / Character Flavor
