The effect on the protected work – Hurt marketability? Competes with for profit?

An act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author’s work as one’s own, as by not crediting the original author.

9. TIPS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
Plan ahead and do not rush through a project
Keep organized notes throughout the project
Take time to find trustworthy and relevant sources
Use proper citation within the project

Avoid survey giveaways
Avoid sharing personal information
over the internet
Keep anti-virus software current
Be sure to update browser, firewall, and other software to combat current threats to safety
