2. Science is fun ! Would you like to be a real scientist ? Would you like to discover new things ? Would you like to learn more about the world around you ? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the activity for you ! You can do many experiments with things you have at home.

3. How the program works...  This is a voluntary assignment. (Participate only if you want to.)  Each week one student will be the scientist of the week.  That student will conduct an experiment in front of the class on Thursday afternoon.  If you choose to participate, your parents or your teacher can help you choose the experiment that you do.  You will practice the experiment at home before you present it to the class. It’s fun to experiment with magnets !

Here are some things that every good scientist should know:  Everyone can be a scientist !  Scientists ask lots of questions- just like Curious George !  Scientists use their eyes to look, their ears to listen, and their noses to smell. Sometimes they even touch and taste, too ! I wonder what this owl ate for breakfast ?  Safety first ! Follow all directions carefully and have an adult help you.
