2 Activity O Each team will receive 22 clues from the mystery. O You are to solve the mystery using the information you have received. O Each piece of information may or may not be helpful in solving the mystery. O The task is to consider the information and arrive at the correct answer.

3 Activity (con’t.) O Your team must determine who was the murderer, when, how, where, the time and the motive for the murder.

4 When he was discovered, Mr. Thompson had a bullet wound in his calf and a knife wound in his back. Mr. Barton shot at an intruder in his apartment building at night. Mr. Thompson had virtually wiped out Mr. Barton’s business by stealing his customers. At 12:45am, Mrs. Scott could not find her husband or the family car in the basement of the apartment building where he worked. The elevator operator reported to the police that he saw Mr. Thompson at 12:15a. The bullet taken from Mr. Thompson’s calf matched the gun owned by Br. Barton. The elevator man said Mr. Thompson did not seem to be badly hurt. A knife found in the parking garage had been wiped clean of fingerprints. Mrs. Scott had been waiting in the lobby for her husband to get off work. The elevator man went off the duty at 12:30am. Mr. Thompson’s body was found at 1:30pm. Mr. Thompson’s body was found in the park. Mr. Thompson had been dead about an hour when his body was found, according to the medical examiner. Mr. Scott did not see Mr. Thompson leave through the lobby while she was waiting. Bloodstains corrensponding to Mr. Thompson’s blood type were found in the basement parking garage. Police were unable to locate Mr. Barton after the murder. Mr. Thompson’s bllood type was found on the carpet outside Mr. Barton’s apartment.
