2 The Commission on the Status of Women is charged with making recommendations to the Chancellor regarding issues, policies, and initiatives affecting women, as well as seeking input from and providing information to those individuals, departments, units, and organizations interested in the status of women. 4 Human Resources The mission of the Office of Human Resources is to support the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as a comprehensive university whose purpose is to foster intellectual, personal, social and cultural development by effectively and creatively administering all functions of the Human Resources Office. 5 Women’s and LGBTQ Resource Center The mission of the Women's and LGBTQ Resource Center is to speak out for the welfare of women as well as the LGBTQ community, who have historically been and continue to be marginalized because of sexual and/or gender identity. Our endeavor to promote the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's institutional commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusiveness is reflected in all Women's and LGBTQ Resource Center programs and services. 7 Classified Staff Council The Classified Staff Council works with campus leadership to offer an effective partnership with colleagues from all campus employee groups in support of the University's mission. The Classified Staff Council serves on behalf of all classified staff (represented and non-represented, limited term, and project appointment employees). The Classified Staff Council coordinates and promotes professional development opportunities through education, training and communication. 9 Center for Alcohol Studies and Education (CASE) The mission of the Center for Alcohol Studies and Education (CASE) is to support and implement strategies and programs to reduce high-risk drinking and its negative consequences among UW-Eau Claire students. 10 MAYBE? – Student Senate The Student Senate represents the students of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire at all levels of governance by authoring and passing legislation to create and change policies that will improve student life and the overall quality of the University. The Student Senate consults with the University Chancellor, faculty and staff, UW system administration, the Eau Claire City Council, as well as the state and federal governments. 13 MAYBE? – Center for Awareness of Sexual Assault (CASA) The Center for Awareness of Sexual Assault (CASA) is a sexual assault support service that maintains a victim centered approach. CASA provides a safe place for people to come and talk about any issues that they may have surrounding their sexual assault, or those of someone close to them.
