2. Leytonstone Library Improvement works beginning! The library will be closed from Monday 20 October 2014 until September 2015

3. What are we doing? Modernising the space Creating flexible spaces to accommodate a wide range of activities and events

4. What are we doing? Upgrading the ICT – providing faster internet access - high-quality printing and photocopying facilities Providing a comprehensive range of children’s, teenage and adult book stock to meet your needs

5. Grade II* listed Leytonstone Library has been designated as a Grade II* listed building by English Heritage

6. Grade II* listed The proposals for refurbishment: Do not include significant alterations to the external fabric Retain the original listed features (terrazzo, timber paneling, bookcases and significant original furniture)

7. Grade II* listed The proposals for refurbishment: Ensure that original features such as the bookcases in the main library are refurbished.

16. Alternatives for library users during the closure Your nearest alternative library will be the Leyton Library Plus, High Road, Leyton E10 5QH. Monday-Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday 9am- 6pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm.
