4. Latest Journal/Magazine Display © Central Institute of Technology New journals and magazines are placed on display until the next issue arrives. These publications provide really current information.

5. Newspaper Display © Central Institute of Technology The newspapers arrive daily – The Australian, The West Australian and The Financial Review, with the weekend papers being available on Mondays.

6. New Items Display © Central Institute of Technology These new items are available for immediate loan.

7. Comfortable Seats © Central Institute of Technology Youre welcome to sit on these comfortable chairs and read.

8. Lots of Books & Computers © Central Institute of Technology As well as books, journals, magazines, newspapers, CDs and DVDs; there are many computers available for students to use for study purposes.

9. Computers are free © Central Institute of Technology Computers are available for study purposes, free of charge. Login using your user ID and password (date of birth). Bookings are for a maximum of 2 hours per day – no pre-bookings.

10. Wireless Connection for Laptops © Central Institute of Technology If you have your own laptop, wireless connection is available.

11. Group Study Rooms © Central Institute of Technology There are 6 bookable study rooms. To book one ask at the Library Service desk. Bookings are for 3 hours maximum.

12. Printing/Photocopying © Central Institute of Technology This is where you print or photocopy using your combined card. Instructions are on posters above the machines. 13. Adding Credit to your Card © Central Institute of Technology To photocopy or print, credit needs to be added to your card. Use this machine to insert coins or notes.

14. Search the Library Catalogue © Central Institute of Technology There are 2 terminals dedicated for searching the Library catalogue to find resources. Remember to limit your search to Perth campus.

15. Reference Collection © Central Institute of Technology The Library maintains a comprehensive Reference Collection. It contains a selection of encyclopaedias, dictionaries and atlases. They are not for loan.

17. Journal/Magazine Collection © Central Institute of Technology Back issues of journals and magazines are stored in boxes. They may be borrowed for 4 weeks.

18. General Collection © Central Institute of Technology Each item is given a call number based on its subject matter so similar items are shelved together. The call number is printed on the spine to help you find it on the shelf. Relevant call numbers for Auslan students: 362.42; 418.02; 419

19. Examples of Books © Central Institute of Technology Books are available for 4 week loans and may be renewed.

20. DVD Collection © Central Institute of Technology We have a large DVD collection – many are course related, others are for entertainment.
