Advisory program Each student is assigned a teacher advisor Your advisor can assist you with credit and graduation questions Your advisor can assist you with career and college plans Your advisor can assist you with Horizonte Scholarship applications Your advisor can assist you with accessing on campus resources

Orientation Testing and Post-Testing All students are tested to obtain base-line data on math and reading skills Advisors will utilize this info when assisting you with class schedules. All students are post tested after 60 hours of instruction to assess academic improvement The orientation test also provide direction for the best program for students. TABE scores determine if a direct instruction classroom is required prior to on-line instruction.

High School Diploma All students need 24 credits to graduate You can request your school records and we can help you understand what you have left to do to complete your credits. Think of it like you need $24 dollars to graduate and for every class you complete at Horizonte, you will receive.50 cents. Some students may need $10 dollars and some may need $1. Once we have your records you will meet with a person to make a graduation plan. The majority, if not all students need English and Math credits. We can get you started even before the records arrive.

GED® Tests The GED® is a test for students who would like an Utah High School Completion Diploma awarded in recognition of passing all GED® tests issued by the state without taking 24 credits worth of classes The five content areas of the GED® tests include: Language Arts Reading and Writing Social Studies Science Mathematics $120.00 for Full Battery (5 Test Subjects) $24 per Test Subject

Dress Code Students are not allowed to wear… Hats or bandanas Gang affiliated clothing, jewelry, or tattoos Clothing with references to illegal activities

Electronic Devices Use not permitted during class time unless directed by teacher
