7 5/16/2015 7 Emphasize and Empower  Take all threats seriously.  Ask the person to tell you what is wrong.  Offer Support.  Remove anything that could be lethal.  Don’t leave the suicidal person alone.  Be positive and emphasize choices.  Get professional help.
