1 FUTURE ENGINEERING FACULTY & PROFESSIONALS BE A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE: ENGINEERING PROFESSORSHIP AT AN INSTITUTION FOCUSED ON UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION AND TEACHING Audeen Fentiman, Associate Dean of Graduate Education & Interdisciplinary Programs Velvet Fitzpatrick, Graduate Professional Assistant Thursday, October 31, 2013

2 Welcome! The FEFP Workshop Series is a part of a larger professional development initiative for engineering students pursuing advanced degrees at Purdue University. Visit the College of Engineering Graduate Programs website “Professional Development” section.

3

4 FEFP workshops are formatted such that participants at different stages in their studies may interact with a panel of experts and gather insights relevant to their current interests. This workshop aims to assist participants pursuing advanced engineering degrees and engineering post- docs to become competitive candidates for faculty positions at institutions focused on undergraduate education and eaching.
