1 English cuisine is not as popular around the world as the French or Italian one. British people like to eat dishes from different places all over the world. The most popular dishes nowadays are pizza and curry. British people still remember and eat traditional dishes. They can be found in pubs and restaurants. The main British meals are: -Breakfast – eaten in the mornings - Lunch – eaten from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. - Dinner – eaten from 7 to 11 p.m.

2 A traditional breakfast includes: eggs, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, toast, butter, coffee/tea, milk, jam and honey. A continental breakfast consists of: croissants, roll buns, sweet breads, butter, jam, coffee, tea or fresh friut juice, milk, cornflakes, yogurt and fresh fruit.

3 Traditional dishes: Ploughman's Lunch Fresh bread, cheese and sweet pickles. Steak and Kidney Pie Pieces of beef or pig kidneys braised in a thick sauce served with a baked crispy pie.

4 Shepherd's Pie Stewed minced beef with vegetables covered with a topping made of mashed potatoes. Roast Beef Yorkshire Pudding Spicy pie baked in an oven, horseradish gravy and baked potatoes all as an addition to roast beef.

5 British people eat dinner between 7 and 11 p.m. A classic dinner set is fish and chips. For dessert they serve chocolate pie or apple pie.

12  In general pop is all music widely known to the people, the term has many meanings, but in the most common sense it stands for every type of entertaining music, regardless of its' qualities.

13  Genre of popular music taking it's origins from rock and roll, r'n'b and blues. The term 'rock' is actually a short form of 'rock and roll', but it also stands for a separate genre of music. All rock styles are based on the sounds of guitars and drums. British bands took the biggest part in rock music in the 60s', although their influence on international music is visible even today.
