Shop assistant: Good morning, madam. Can I help you? Mary: I’d like three kilos of potatoes and two kilos of tomatoes. Shop assistant: Ok. Here you are. Anything else, madam? Mary: Yes. I’d like some apples, too. Shop assistant: How many apples would you like? Mary: Give me about six apples. Or perhaps a kilo. Shop assistant: Certainly. Is that all? Mary: That’s all I think. Shop assistant: Ok. That’s £8. 30. Mary: Can I pay by credit card? Shop assistant: Yes, of course.
At the restaurant

At the delicatessen Shop assistant: Good afternoon, madam. Can I help you? Patrycja: I’d like one litre of milk, five rolls and a dozen of eggs, please. Shop assistant: Ok. Anything else? Patrycja: Yes, a piece of cheese, please. Shop assistant: How much cheese would you like? Patrycja: About 200 grams. And a carton of orange juice, please. Shop assistant: Certainly. Is that all? Patrycja: No. And three bars of chocolate. Shop assistant: Ok. Anything else? Patrycja: I’d also like 250 grams of butter and a kilo of sugar, one bottle of olive oil as well. Now that’s all. Shop assistant: Here you are. That’s £18. 50. Patrycja: Here you are. Shop assistant: 50p change. Cheers. Patrycja: Thanks. Bye.
At the airport
At the airport. Tourist: Can I take this as hand luggage? Clerk: No sir, it is too big. I’m afraid that your luggage is too heavy. You have to pay excess baggage. Tourist: Oh, OK. How much?
