2. THE ROCKING-HORSE WINNER Today, you will be starting the story, The Rocking-Horse Winner. You will need to do the following: A) You will need something to write (pen, pencil, or highlighter). B) As you read the story you will need to UNDERLINE lines and passages from the story that have to do with the Unit Theme – Money, Power, & Greed. (These lines need to logically tie in with the theme or they do not count.)

3. THE ROCKING-HORSE WINNER C) When you have underlined the line or passage, WRITE in the margin what your underlined words relates to in the unit theme, (money, power, or greed). D) You should have a MINIMUM of 5 UNDERLINED lines and passages for each part of the theme (minimum of 15).
