1. Proseuche ( προσεύχη) = a general term for sacred prayer and petition. 2. Deaesis ( δεήσις) = the making of very specific requests of a superior. 3. Eucharistia ( εύχαριστία) = the giving of thanks for past blessings with the distinction of asking for future ones. 4. Aitema ( ảίτ η μα) = a single petition from human to God.
