1 Total Employment by Sector Charteris School CambridgeSlough Grammar School We can see that the families of the pupils in Cambridge have more primary work and less tertiary work than those in Slough. This is because Cambridge in the heart of an agricultural area which today still supports many farming families. In Slough we have many people who work at Heathrow Airport.

3 Total Employment by Sector This chart shows the data broken down by the date people started work (e.g. 3 = 1921-1930). Both schools show a decline in primary and rise in tertiary over time. Charteris School CambridgeSlough Grammar School

4 Total Employment Males and Females One difference between the two areas is the % of women working. In Cambridge, almost as many women work as men but in Slough it is considerably less. Charteris School CambridgeSlough Grammar School
