2 Tell me about yourself and your family My name is Susan Smith. I’m 32 years old. I’m a journalist. I live in London. I’m married. / I’m not married. My husband’s name is Jack. He’s 34 years old. He’s an engineer. I have three children: one son and two daughters. / I don’t have any children. My children’s names are James, Donna and Sarah.

3 James is seven. He goes to primary school. Donna is five. She goes to kindergarten. Sarah is 14 years old. She goes to secondary school. My son goes to university/university college/créche. My mother’s name is Jane. She is 58 years old. She is a nurse/pensioner. My father died. I have a brother. His name is James. He’s 28 years old. He’s a teacher. He’s married. He has a daughter. I don’t have any brothers or sisters.

4 What do you do together with your family? We often go for walks, go hiking, ride a bike, go to the cinema, walk the dog, go to the theatre, do sports like playing football/basketball, have a picnic etc.

5 What do you and your family members look like? I’m tall and slim. I have long brown hair and brown eyes. My husband is tall and a little bit plump. He has short blonde hair and blue eyes. My son is short. He has short brown hair and brown eyes.

6 Who’s your best friend? My best friend’s name is Rose. She’s 30 years old. She’s a doctor. She’s tall and slim. She has long, brown hair and blue eyes. I’ve known her for several years. She’s very kind, friendly and helpful. We often talk, go for walks, go to the cinema together.
