He was very critical of Rhetoric He believed in the idea of only one truth

3 The Myth of the Charioteer
This idea is supposed to represent the division of the human soul -The Three Parts >Charioteer - lover of wisdom >First Horse - lover of honor >Second Horse - lover of lust

4 Charioteer The Charioteer is the part of the soul that is wise and the philosopher of a person.

5 The First Horse The first is represented as the good horse
It is the part of the soul that wants do everything right

6 The Second Horse The second horse is represented as the bad horse
It is the part of the soul that wants the bad things like lust and sexual ideas It is the partier of the two horses

7 Platos techne of Rhetoric
He derived his own definition of rhetoric from this idea: - Rhetoric is the art (rational method) of leading the human soul toward Truth through rational argumentation
