THE CHRONICLE OF THE JEWISH MUNICIPALITY OF BANJA LUKA
The number of members of the Jewish Municipality in the period from 1945 to 1990 has been moving from 40 to 25 members and is gradually lowering from one to another year. All the activity was based on the humanitarian aid from the Union of Jewish Municipalities, which, because of the small number of Banja Luka Jews, was carrying out the partial sale of the municipal property in the middle of twentieth century. The objective difficulty for the researching of the archive material claimed, beside the poor historical documentation from the Turkish period, the lack pinekas (the Jewish church books), temple protocol concerned of the membership and the important happenings connected to the Municipality, which disappeared and were taken away by the members of the Ustasha's regime in order to hide the crimes performed over Banja Luka Jews. Banja Luka city map between 18th and 19th century Upravo ti progoni Jevreja iz cijele Evrope, koji se vremenski podudaraju sa protjerivanjem Jevreja iz Španije i Portugala godine, zbog postojeće drumske komunikacije između Servicijuma i Salone, Dalmacije i Podunavlja, koji je prolazio kroz Banju Luku, indirektno upućuju na mogućnost sporadičnog grupnog dolaska Jevreja izbjeglica u Bosansku Krajinu još za vrijeme kralja Tvrtka iz pravca mletačke Venecije, a iz pravca Španije nakon egzodusa, s tim što se u oba slučaja njihov dolazak odvija preko Ancone i Venecije s jedne, te Dubrovnika, Splita, Šibenika i Zadra s druge strane. THE CHRONICLE OF THE JEWISH MUNICIPALITY OF BANJA LUKA
THE CHRONICLE OF THE JEWISH MUNICIPALITY OF BANJA LUKA
65 years after the World War II and 10 years after the fall of the previous Yugoslavia, they are solidly about to start their missionary trip so much expected by the people . When the national extremism of the main national groups appeared on the soil of BH, menacing more and more and announced evil, the Jewish ethnic minority in Banja Luka started to get ready reminding us of unification of tribes in ancestral Judea with the purpose to defend themselves from enemy and not so recent holocaust not of Jews only , The Society of Jewish-Serb friendship shortly after that was dissolved due to political imputation needed by no one in such a situation. Membership rose daily with the arrival of refugees from other regions Šalom svima! Shalom to everyone
