4.  In 1996-2000, Project M-SPAN (Middle School Physical Activity and Nutrition) worked with 24 middle schools, 200 physical educators, and over 24,000 students in a study to fight childhood obesity.  The results advocated for a program… SPARK

5. The curriculum includes: The SPARK manual 15 instructional units written in scope with a preparation and teaching sequence. More than 400 different research-based, field-tested activities aligned to state and national standards
