4. Make it relevant. QI requires a significant investment of time and resources. Buy-in demands that projects are geared toward timely issues and accompanied by technical assistance and support. Demonstrates respect for and understanding of the pressures faced by our public health partners. Staff are in short supply so offer the training in their areas of expertise… Community health assessment and planning Emergency preparedness

5. Document everything. If it’s not written down, it didn’t happen. Tells your story and provides evidence of your work. Offers a touchstone for moving forward. Demonstrates the value of the process. Builds an evidence base for public health QI. Provides a compelling argument for sustaining the effort.

6. Document everything. Documentation doesn’t have to be complicated or exhaustive. Take advantage of worksheets and storyboards. Plan for it at outset of the collaborative.
