A. Nabhan 1 “One day, a small opening appeared in a cocoon; I sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.

12/10/2005 2 Then, it seems to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had reached as far as it could and it could not go any further.

3 So I decided to help the butterfly: I took a pair of scissors and opened the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a withered body and shriveled wings.

12/10/2005 4 The butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a withered body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

5 What did not I, in my good intention understand? The restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

6 And I understood... That.... I asked for Strength... and God gave me intricacy and difficulties... I asked for Wisdom... and God gave me puzzling situations. I asked for Favors... and God gave me Opportunities.

7/31/2007 7 I received nothing I wanted...

But....... I received everything I needed Dr. A. F. Nabhan
