1. Butterfly’s lesson Butterfly’s lesson One day, a little opening appeared in a cocoon; a man sat and observed the butterfly for many hours, while it tried hard to pass its body through that small hole.

2. It seemed to have stopped making any progress. It seemed that it had all it could, and could pass no further

3. Then the man decided to help the butterfly: with scissors, he cut the remainder of the cocoon. The butterfly then got out easily. But its body was withered and small and had twisted wings.

4. The man continued to observe it, because he knew that, in time, the wings would open and straighten and be able to support the body of the butterfly and would strengthen.

5. Nothing happened! In truth, the butterfly passed the rest of its life crawling with a withered body and shrunken, twisted wings. It was never able to fly.

6. The man, in his kindness and wishing to help did not understand that the tight cocoon and the efforts exerted by the butterfly to pass through the small aperture were, by God’s design, necessary for the fluids of the body in the butterfly to go to its wings, so the butterfly would be ready to fly at the time it would be free of the cocoon.

7. Sometimes, the effort is exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to pass through our lives without any obstacles, we would be crippled. We would not be as strong as we could have been. We never could fly.

8. I asked for strength… and God gave me difficulties to make me strong. I asked for wisdom… and God gave problems to solve. I asked for prosperity…and God gave me a brain and muscles to work.

9. I asked for courage… and God gave me obstacles to surpass. I asked for love…and God gave me people with problems to help.

10. I asked for favors…and God gave me chances. I did not receive anything that I asked for… But I received everything that I needed."

11. Live your life without fear, face all obstacles and show that you can surpass them.
