They asked us to remind relatives that images of other children than their own should not be posted on social network sites without the express permission of the child’s parents / carers.

The insides look absolutely great and I know that the children that receive them will be so thrilled. The children they are going to have nothing – so – thank you for your generosity. The people that are taking them will be here on Friday 26 November. They are collecting from about six schools around us. If you are unable to make up a box on your own maybe you could join with someone else. The kids the boxes are going to will be so grateful.

The children can still earn golden tickets to work towards winning a Smith’s gift voucher.

I was so proud of our children keeping the silence. I know I was not the only one to feel quite emotional when Chris Quarrie read the Exhortation, Mr Duffin played the Last Post and Reveille on his trumpet and Vicar Tony presented the prayers including the Lord’s Prayer. The poems, written and read by the children in Class 2, were so beautiful and read with such passion and the pictures and poppy rings made by our youngest children in Class 1 set the scene in the church. Thank you to everyone that came and shared in our tribute to soldiers now and in the past

They are really cheap. They include a Sheep Pillow, colour changing snowman and angel bauble, Disney princess set, a lovely makeup boxed set and silicon Christmas tree and snow man cake cases as well as a good few other bits. Headteacher – Mrs Ann Herridge B.Ed (Hons)Email office@cheselbourne.dorset.sch.uk Info from Newsletter sent on 17th November 2010 Mufti Day Following their fantastic success with the fabric collection and acquiring over £340 for funds, the ‘Friends’ have asked for a Mufti day on Monday 22 November when all the children can come in dressed in home clothes. On this day, or before, can every child bring in a jar of something for the Christmas Fete – chocolates, sweets, hair clips, beads, marbles, nuts and I’m sure you can think of lots of other things to put in it.

If anyone else wants a ticket please send £1 in with your name on it before Friday. Mrs Folley is also selling Pudsey cakes and biscuits at the school. Do call in – I know there are some super cakes coming in. All the proceeds will be sent to the Children in Need fund.

I was so impressed. On their very first session with Mr Duffin they sounded really great. I’m sure they will play something at our Christmas concert. 20 children attended the drama club with Jenny Jackson. They had a great time and she was so pleased with how they enjoyed the session. I know they are not quite ready for the Shakespeare stage but I think they will enjoy next week equally well.

Headteacher – Mrs Ann Herridge B.Ed (Hons)Email office@cheselbourne.dorset.sch.uk Info from Newsletter sent on 17 th November 2010 Roman Banquet Class 2 have been learning about the Romans and will have a banquet to celebrate the end of this project. We will have this on Wednesday 1 December in the afternoon. The children all want to dress up as Romans – not too hard – just need a white sheet, possibly a brooch for the shoulder and a belt for the girls. I’ll send some pictures out next week. We will provide the ‘banquet’.
