Costs: The cost for Athletics is $75/ 1 st sport and $50/ 2 nd & 3 rd sport. Checks can be made out to Arlington Classics Academy. Uniform: Order forms available today for new uniforms and spirit shirts. Conditioning: Conditioning is available for middle school students involved in athletics. During the Track & Field Season, conditioning is available Tuesday and Friday from 4:30-5:30 @ Bowen. This is an opportunity for strength training as well as running. If your child is unable to attend practice or conditioning, please email Coach Heard at jheard@acaedu.netjheard@acaedu.net

Expectations: We expect our athletes to have proper workout clothes as well as running shoes. If students forget workout clothes, they will not be allowed to practice. If your child is unable to attend a practice, please email Coach Heard at jheard@acaedu.net jheard@acaedu.net Athletes are also expected to follow disciplinary guidelines set for the school. Disciplinary consequences will draw on the professional judgment of the coaches and/ or administrators, depending on the severity of the infraction. If a child is suspended from school, he or she will not be allowed to participate in the following competition. Athletes will be required to maintain academic standards consistent with ACA philosophies. A child will not be eligible to play under the following criteria: They failed a non-honors level course at the end of the nine weeks. (Honors courses that are excluded include Algebra 1, Spanish 2, or any elective High School credit course). The student will lose eligibility on the Friday afternoon the day report cards are passed out and can regain eligibility the Friday report cards or progress reports are passed out. In order to regain eligibility, they will be required to pass all classes at the time of progress reports or report cards. Students who pass all classes at the 9 weeks mark will be required to turn in a grade sheet every two weeks. If the child is failing on their grade sheet, they will not be allowed to participate until the next grade sheet is turned in, (or a progress report or report card) with every grade passing. These grade sheets will be collected and monitored by the coaches. Nutrition

Fundraisers: Athletics relies strictly on fundraising events to pay for fees that apply. We are asking each family have an approved volunteer to work at least one fundraising event. Events as follows: Parent’s Night Out: February 20th Middle School Dance: March 27th Questions?
