3 Purpose of the Board Guide the work of the Alliance Maintain the independence of Alliance Oversee the development of Alliance priorities Ensure the Alliance is on a secure financial footing Rotate the chairing of Alliance events Set membership criteria Approve (with Alliance staff) areas of joint work conducted under the name of the Alliance Agree work plan of staff and monitor performance

5 New Board members Karen Harrison Denning – Dementia UK – Clinicial representative Heather Gilling – Dementia Support South Lincolnshire – Local representative Daniel Snipe – PWC – Treasurer Prof. Alistair Burns – NHS England – invited as Statutory representative

6 Key decision Approval of the Governance Framework (on website) Approval of Lead Executive Objectives To undertake public affairs work ahead of the General Election

7 General Election This will be done through: a)Running umbrella events for the main parties b)Prioritising asks for manifesto commitments c)Ensuring politicians don’t think that dementia is ‘fixed’
