5 Clichés # heads Work with your partner to come up with some clichés. Remember, a cliché is an expression you have heard so much that it has lost its edge. Listen for your # head T-P-S: what do you think Wallace would do when confronted with one of these clichés in the play?

Explain your answer. (write) Identify an example of figurative language in the first line on page What type of figurative language is it? Could this be a cliché? Explain. How has Wallace’s attitude about the play changed since his first detention? What do you think has caused this change? When Mr. Fogelman finds out about the Dead Mangoes, he prepares to do something drastic. What do you predict he will do? Why do you think Mr. Fogelman has such a problem with the direction the play is going?
