But he used his power not for his own needs but for improving the situation in the country. Peter wanted Russia to be as great as European countries. As a good politician Peter I had an ability to risk. He changed everything: he built canals, schools, hospitals, museums and a new capital, St.Petersburg. Now it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Peter the Great took non-traditional decisions.
