The principal functionalities of the SSB are Microprocessor: OTC 2.5 with integrated Teletext HIP for analog input processing MSP sound decoder for virtual Dolby FBX 7 with FALCONIC / EAGLE configuration, the EAGLE delivers digital Y and UV signals. Chapter: 01, slide9 FTV Program 2004  FEM: (Falconic Embedded Memories) is a new Falconic with internal Field memories, which have a lower cost price and jagged line removal by use of EDDI (Edge Dependent De-Interlacing)  IMPROVED 2D/3D COMBFILTER: The new key components are Columbus and SDRAM. When SDRAM is used a 3 D combfilter or temporal comb filtering is possible. Without SDRAM, only 2D comb filtering, spatial comb filtering is possible, this is improved with respect to the previous 2D comb filter.  IMPROVED NOISE REDUCTION: This is a second function of the Columbus and SDRAM. Noise reduction is possible without SDRAM (2D) and with SDRAM (3D).  Pixel Plus 2: Eagle 1B is replaced by Eagle 1C.  Algorithms for Horizontal LTI and Vertical LTI are improved.  Thin Line Control as part of the sharpness control  Skin tone depending Peaking should allow less sharpness in faces different from the rest of the picture. Chapter: 01, slide10 New Features program 2004 Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light Proximity Sensor The function of proximity sensor (Commercial name: Intelligent lights) is to detect a motion when the customer is approaching to the set, and then to light up some leds on the set. The module is powered by the 5V stand by and works in stand by and in on state The function can be switched off or on in the set up menu The function of the proximity sensor is done by a separated micro-controller The communication between the OTC and the micro-controller is done by the RC 5 line. Ambient light Left and right of the FTV 3 gas discharging lamps are mounted. Red, green and blue, it makes it possible to make any colour. In set up menu this item is added; AMBIENT LIGHT, Lights ON OFF, Ambient Light: personal/normal/warm/cool.
