3. Shrubs???  All roses are technically shrubs  In the ARS classification system, shrub roses are divided into two categories  Classic Shrubs  Modern Shrubs  Classic shrubs are broken further into 4 classes  Hybrid Kordesii  Hybrid Moyesii  Hybrid Musk  Hybrid Rugosa

4. Hybrid Kordesii Usual characteristics of kordesii roses:  Disease resistant yellow-green foliage  Very cold tolerant  Vigorous, can act like short climbers  Cluster-flowering, usually pink or red  Produce large hips

13. Hybrid Moyesii Usual characteristics of moyes roses:  Unique, bottle-shaped hips  Very cold tolerant, shade tolerant  Vigorous, open, arching growth  Most have single or semi-double blooms, usually red or pink  Sporadic repeat
