Art teachers use the processes of Art to teach the processes of the PA Core Standards For Example: Art teachers teach student to do a “Close Reading” of a work of art, using the concepts and terminology of the PA Core Standards in Language Arts.

RESEARCH SHOWS that when students take ownership for their learning by educating themselves through a buildup of basic knowledge of the visual arts and application of art critique/analyzing methods for the visual arts, their studio products improve greatly.
