2. The Lone Sailor Statue Project The 7-foot-tall bronze Lone Sailor, created by artist Stanley Bleifeld, is the centerpiece of the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C. It represents all people who ever served, are serving now, or have yet to serve in the Navy.
