 Full use of the Huntsman teaching lab (which is a university and post doctorate level facility).  The HMSC has three large teaching laboratories.  Each lab has large dry benches for students to work at, as well as a wet bench with running saltwater for the creatures being studied.

 Excursion time on the Fundy Spray the HMSC’s research vessel which includes the opportunity to explore the local islands to look at marine and terrestrial the wildlife, and a visit to a local estuary to sample benthic fauna using drags.

 The main HMSC research vessel is the FUNDY SPRAY, a 50’ converted offshore lobster boat. The boat is certified by Transport Canada to carry 20 passengers and 2 crew, anywhere in the Bay of Fundy.  The boat’s capabilities include bottom trawling, bottom dragging, sediment sampling, plankton sampling and most other types of oceanographic sampling. The FUNDY SPRAY has two wet holds to hold fish samples alive to be brought back to the lab.

Unlimited daytime access to Huntsman Aquairum/Sealab to examine specimens

How Will We Get There?  New 56 Passenger Motor Coach  Plush Reclining Seats  Climate Control DVD/VHS/CD  Large Tinted Panoramic Viewing Windows  Reading Lights  Footrests  Restroom Facilities

ACCOMMODATIONS & MEALS  The program is considered a total immersion experience and participants will stay in Anderson House, our historic residence building.  Since we are a field station, you will need to bring a sleeping bag and towel, along with your personal items.  Pillows and pillowcases will be provided.
