Visions Science Discovery - Fabulous destinations coupled with cutting-edge curriculum, allowing your students to explore new worlds whilst discovering the fun of science!

Join us as we explore one of Italy’s most beautiful and tasteful cities – Bologna!

Our Visions Design & Technology tour takes a first-hand look at design, technology and physics within one of Italy’s great medieval cityscapes. Bologna is an eye-catching ensemble of red brick palazzi, Renaissance towers and 40kms of arcaded porticoes. Described as “la dotta, las grassa e la rossa’ the learned, the fat and the red.

Ducati builds one of the world's finest, and most sought after, motorcycles. Ducati builds emotions. The world's most attractive motorcycles are the result of a deep commitment to racing competitions; they are the purest expression of refined skill, unmistakable design and above all, a great passion for bikes. The story of the Ducati dream, which began in Bologna in 1926, is recounted at the Ducati Museum. Here the stories of legendary bikes and riders are told and a pure passion for performance and excellence permeates the air. A passion that travels fast, opening new roads and creating history.

‘Fisica in Moto’ (physics on motorcycles), is the interactive didactic physics laboratory dedicated specifically to high school students. Specially designed and custom-built interactive machines are used inside the laboratory to demonstrate the principles of physics that students learn at school, as well as physics' relationship with a Ducati MotoGP bike. We give students the opportunity to gain experience using entertaining, interactive equipment. Students will be asked to observe, question and then discover how fascinating and tangible the formulas that they normally see printed on the pages of textbooks actually are.

Fisica in Moto is not a museum dedicated to physics, but rather an innovative physics laboratory. The educational proposal launched by the Fisica in Moto Laboratory requires the collaboration of institutions and the fundamental contribution of teachers before, during and after the visit. Teachers will be sent the specifically prepared educational material so that they can prepare their students for the visit. Fisica in Moto does not intend to replace teaching in classrooms, it complements and supports classroom education, making the physics principles and concepts more familiar and easier to understand.

Birthplace of the most prestigious and sought after super sports cars. We will see the assembly line of the Fallardo LP and follow step by step the making of a super sports car, from body shell to the interior and the mounting of Lamborghinis acclaimed v10 engine. From the production line of engines, assembled by highly specialised and skilled workers hand, then into the upholstery department.

All leather used for interiors is cut by a high tech computer aided machine which sorts it according to three different levels of quality avoiding waste, the leather is then manually stitched together. Seats, Dashboards, tunnels and interior panels will be then covered by hand.

We will view the worlds fastest police car: the Gallardo of the Italian Polizia Stradale, equipped with high-tech devices such as satellite navigation system with micro- telephone, the Provida system for registering violations and transmitting live images to a direct link to the police data base and the Elsag, “car detector”, a vehicle registration database system. Also, we will visit the area dedicated to the marine engines, testimony of the power of the “Toro” (Bull) both in the road and in the water; they are proud winners of several World Championships.

Visions students will get to visit behind the scenes and watch the master cooks separating the rich whey and lifting this magnificent DOP product and gain insight into the particular methodology. We will also visit the shaping and salting rooms and into the salting vaults and aging room, the stagionatura

Recently completely renovated, the Museo Ferrari in Maranello anticipates the museum of the future: not just a collection of the past, but an extraordinary experience of the world of Ferrari, where the historical cars and history are the pretext to Formula 1 content and technology and the outlook towards the future. This experience is offered via the cars, big screens and films, interactive tools such as the explanation of the Grand Prix pitwall and the possibility to turn into a Formula 1 driver on board of a semi-professional simulatorn exclusive guided bus tour inside the Fiorano test- track proving grounds and Viale Enzo Ferrari. Museum guide will introduce characteristics & features of the circuit.

The Laboratory focuses on themes that make Ferrari’s production process a fascinating model of excellence: innovation, team and emotion. The Red Campus Laboratory – designed in collaboration with Shell, is an interactive space where students have the opportunity to expand on important concepts studied at school through simulations and games. The Augmented Reality station is an innovative technology that through its sophisticated software virtually reconstructs any object whatsoever, for example, a Ferrari engine on screen.

In Cittanova, a rustic town in the surroundings of Modena, cars are kept that recall the most important steps in the history of the “Trident” painstakingly assembled during the years. The Maserati Car Museum displays some unique pieces of the Maserati Car collection of Umberto Panini, and its one of the finest collection dedicated to the Maserati.

The Camplus Bononia opened in September 2012 and is a modern building, surrounded by greenery and equipped with all the most advanced solutions for energy saving. Breakfast and dinners are served at the hotel, while lunches are ‘on your own’. School parties may decide to opt in for a packed lunch to take with them for their day excursion or eat out along the way.
