2 Methodology IRI gathers chain-wide sales across all RMAs (Retail Market Areas) – Starting in 2013, the IRI Regions reflect an expanded retail data set which includes sales and volume from Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target and BJ’s, in addition to traditional grocery retailers Average Selling Price (ASP) is not Advertised Retail Price – Average selling price is the average of all prices including coupons, promotional pricing, club/loyalty card deals that are given at the register at the time of purchase Categories: Total Avocados, Produce = Total Produce including Avocados Timeframe: YTD Q4 (January – December) 2014 Retail data provided by IRI / FreshLook Marketing Important Note: IRI / FreshLook Marketing periodically restates retail data, therefore this review cannot be compared or used in conjunction with prior reviews 2

3 Total U.S.: Highlights - YTD Q4 Overview based on the following Regions: – California, Great Lakes, Midsouth, Northeast, Plains, Southeast, South Central, West 2014 vs. 2013, Avocado dollars grew +12%, +8 points ahead of Total Produce (+4%) – Category dollars grew +12%, while volume grew +5% – Category average selling price (ASP) increased +7% to $1.11/unit – Small Hass avocados have the second largest share of the category and increased +18% in dollars – Small avocados added +$74 million to the category – Bagged avocados grew +30% in volume and added 57 million units to the category Total U.S. dollars per store per week increased +10% vs prior year, while units grew +3% – West posted the highest average dollars and units per store per week – West averaged $731 and 714 units per store per week – Great Lakes posted the lowest dollars per store per week at $226 – Midsouth posted the lowest units per store per week at 187 units 3

4 Total U.S.: YTD Q4 - Avocados vs. Produce 2014 vs. 2013, Avocado dollars grew +12%, +8 points ahead of Total Produce (+4%) California had the largest share of avocados (18%), despite having the second smallest share of total produce (11%) 4 Avocados Outpaced Total Produce in Retail Dollar Sales Growth Rate

5 Total U.S.: YTD Q4 Avocado Retail Overview 2014 vs. 2013, Category dollars grew +12%, while volume increased +5% – Q2 and Q3 units declined vs. prior year 2014 vs. 2013, Category average selling price (ASP) increased +7% to $1.11/unit 5 Total U.S. Avocado Dollars Grew +12%; All Quarters Posted Dollar Growth (2014 vs. 2013)

6 Total U.S. - YTD Q4 PLU Comparisons Bagged avocados grew +30% in volume and added +57 million units to the category Small Hass avocados (PLU 4046) have the second largest share of category and increased +18% in dollars – Small avocados added +$74 million to the category ASP of all PLUs increased, resulting in an +7% increase in total category ASP to $1.11/unit 6 Small Avocados (4046) Drove 2014 Dollar Growth, While Bags Drove Volume Gains

7 Total U.S.: YTD Category Per Store Per Week Averages Total U.S. dollars per store per week increased +10% vs. prior year, while units grew +3% West led the regions and averaged $731 per store per week, more than double the U.S. average West averaged 714 units per store per week Great Lakes posted the lowest dollars per store per week at $226 Midsouth posted the lowest units per store per week at 187 units 7 Total U.S. Average Dollars Per Store Per Week Increased +10% to $348

8 Total U.S.: 2012 through Q4-2014 Per Store Averages By Quarter - Units vs. ASP Average Retail Units Per Store – The peak quarter was 2013-Q2 at 4,454 units per store when ASP was $1.00/unit – The lowest quarter was 2012-Q4 at 3,219 units per store when ASP was at $1.00/unit ASP – Lowest ASP to date occurred during 2013-Q1, $0.95/unit – Highest ASP to date occurred during 2014-Q3 at $1.18/unit 8
