8 BCM is installed in the TL1 with RF DC blocker. The BCM not calibrated so it’s needs calibration in the Lab. The signal from this cavity is mainly used to give us an indication for the beam passage. Better solution for measuring the beam current is FCT ( Fast Current Transformer). The new FCT will be used to calibrate BCM. TL1 Diagnostic / BCM 8

9 Recently we received an FCT from ANKA for temporary period to be used in SESAME TL1 to measure the current, and solve the problems with BCM. The FCT is from Bergoz Instrumentation with BW 2GHz and 20 Turns. RF shield for it were made in the lab. The FCT is tested in the Lab and it’s already installed in TL1. FCT was installed in TL1 between FOM and FC and this temporary till purchasing new in-air FCT TL1 Diagnostic / FCT FCT with ShieldWhile testing in the Lab 9

10 The FOM is already installed in TL1. We use florescent screen AF995R. The problem with this type of materials is the long brightness time. Right now we use old BESSY video camera and take the signal directly to TV monitor in control room. TL1 Diagnostic / FOM 10

11 The Faraday Cup is already installed in TL1. This FC can handle 35Mev up to 7.6 cm stop range. The stopping range @22Mev is 4.71cm TL1 Diagnostic / FC FC 11

14 3 FOMs in the booster One at injection septum One in section 1 and the third one in section 2 Pneumatic system will be used for all FOMs. Pneumatic system is tested and ready. Most of the screens are good but the septum FOM must be replaced. The cameras will be used good quality TV video camera.????? Booster Diagnostic/FOM 14

15 Old CT’s are available from BESSY. New devices are purchased: FCT from Bergoz NPCT (DCCT) from Bergoz Booster Diagnostic/ CT 15

16 These new FCT and NPCT can give us the exact and accurate current. There is enough space in booster sections 3 & 6, FCT will be installed in booster section 3 and the NPCT in booster section 6, we can swap between them. These CT’s are in-air type. 17 6-BPM blocks are available. 1.4-SLM. 2.2-BP. Phase matched cables are used. All of these BPMs will be tested in the Lab using the instruments :Spectrum Analyzer,Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope and design test bench. Booster Diagnostic/BPM 17

18 Libera electron had arrived to SESAME from Instrumentation technologies (Slovenia) We have 7 Libera electron for the booster and 1 clock splitter. Cable lengths are as follows: 1.BPM1,3 is 23m. 2.BPM4,6 is 29m. 3.BPM2 is 17m. 4.BPM5 is 35m. Booster Diagnostic/Libera Libera electronLibera clock splitter 18
