3. Why did he propose this project? Works with new born babies who needs intensive care Babies are connected to two different medical devices that monitors heart rate The devices sound alarm when it detects an irregular or sudden change in heart rate

4. Why did he propose this project? Problem 1 The device is very sensitive. It alarms to the slightest change in heart beat. It detects changes that is not considered dangerous Dr. Walsh wants us to modify the devices by installing visual aids to replace the sound alarm.

5. Why did he propose this project? Problem 2 The pulse oximeter is sensitive to the baby’s movement. Leads to false alarm We want the device to only alarm when there is a difference of 10 beats
