3 Prior Commitments $3,000 ~ STRIVE - a Rotary mentorship program that provides scholarships and financial assistance for five John Marshall students with the greatest improvement in their GPAs during their senior year $2,000 ~ Rotary Outbound Youth Exchange Scholarship Fund - to offset the costs for an out-bound exchange student going to another country for a year of study abroad $1,500 ~ Rotary International Projects - an international humanitarian project yet to be determined $1,000 ~ Lourdes High School - in appreciation of the tuition-free educational experience they provide for Rotary exchange students $1,000 – RCTC & RYLA Scholarships $ 500 – Inbound Youth Exchange Student Program (all numbers are approximations) Top GRR Voting Commitments Y Mentors Program, Rochester Area Family Y - to support activities, classes, tutoring, and sports registrations for participating youth American Cancer Society – Rochester Hope Lodge – towards the campaign to double the size of the lodge. Olmsted County Public Health – to purchase 300 board books for low income and English as a Second Language parents for pre-reading activities. Gift of Life Transplant House – to purchase a refrigerator freezer and stove as part of the renovation of a three- bedroom house adjacent to the current facility Fruit & Fudge Fundraiser

4 The Basketball Tournament is a joint effort of all three Rochester Rotary clubs. The tourney itself is usually held in the week between Christmas and New Years. Proceeds of the tourney ($43,000+ in 2005 - $460,000 + since the tournament started) are distributed in the spring to youth-related community initiatives. 5 Members of GRRC are asked to help wash dishes at the Rochester Senior Center Chicken Dinner fundraiser, which takes place on the second Tuesday of each month. Kitchen Police

6 The Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity (RAHH) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build simple, decent, affordable housing for people in our community who are economically challenged. Habitat for Humanity

7 Members of GRRC are asked to assist with the Fall Family Picnic at Riverside Central Elementary School. The club provides hot dogs and grills them for the students, parents, and teachers on the designated evening. Riverside Picnic

8 GRRC participates in the Mayo Blood Donor program, which means that if at least 25% of the membership donates blood at least once a year, the entire membership will receive the benefit of free blood products should they need them. Blood Donor Program

9 Several years ago the three Rochester Rotary clubs decided to contribute toward the expansion of the city skate park as our project to commerate the Rotary International Centennial. This decision was a response to a study done by the city to determine what the youth of Rochester needed for their entertainment. The Rotary clubs made a commitment of $30,000 toward this project, plus volunteer time to help build the park Centennial Project & Celebration
