2 Working together 2 Founding principles There are 7.6 million disabled people of working age in the UK The employment rate for disabled people is 49%, compared to 78% for non-disabled people. Together, Remploy and BT aim to affect change through equality and inclusion in employment

3 Working together Remploy & BT – Our relationship 3 Working in partnership to transform lives through sustainable employment through a range of initiatives: Multi-agency approach to mainstream recruitment in partnership with BT, Manpower and Remploy’s branch network “Able to Work” - work experience placement scheme for disabled people and people with a health condition to gain BT Enable – supporting BT employees experiencing difficulties at work due to a disability or health condition by providing workplace adjustments and interventions Workplace Mental Health support – helping people with mental health conditions to return to work or stay in post

6 Working together Our successes 6 Together we have helped secure more than 300 career opportunities for disabled people and people with a health condition in BT call centres “Able to Work” work experience placements rolled out to six BT Wholesale contact centres in summer 2011 2300 people supported to return or stay in work through BT Enable

7 Working together Building for the future 7 To transform society and the lives of disabled people by creating equality in employment for the disabled, facilitating their access to sustainable employment and careers and enabling them to achieve their ambitions and maximise their potential. Sustainable employment matters to disabled people’s sense of purpose, contribution, health, income and equal rights – and to the well-being of our families and communities. It enables businesses to tap into talent and society to benefit from everyone’s contribution.
