The Lincoln Memorial was built in memory of Abraham Lincoln , the 16-th president of the USA. He wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. This document gave freedom to the slave in America.

Mount Rushmore national Memorial in South Dakota represents the first 150 years of the history of the USA and is 18-metre sculptures of the heads of former US presidents (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt ).The entire memorial covers 5.17 km and is metres above the sea.
