(Ex. “I am hungry,” he said. “It’s because didn’t eat lunch. -> “I am hungry… because I didn’t eat lunch.”) Add words in parentheses to help clarify meaning. (Ex. Mayella Ewell testified that “He took advantage of me.” -> “He [Tom Robinson] took advantage of me.”
