10 The numbers Dec 16 decision on Candidate Host Cities (CHC) 12 cities 17 stadia - Hillsborough 67 criteria and 82 sub-criteria! Two inspection visits, 3 written submissions and a final interview England bid submitted in May and host nation announced by FIFA in December

11 The event It is the largest single sports event in the world featuring the world’s most popular sport and our national game. The Finals take place over 31 days with 32 Teams take part. There are over 3 million spectator tickets to watch games at the event; television audience of 24 Billion in 240 different countries. 19,000 media attended the event and 15,000 volunteers plus 16,000 stewards assisted in its successful staging
